This ring was made from
- a broken 18ct white gold eternity ring with 14 small diamonds, a broken
9ct yellow gold signet ring, a 9ct red gold wedding ring and an 18ct yellow
gold wedding ring, all belonging to a lady who cannot tolerate 9ct gold
next to her skin. The diamonds were removed from the eternity ring
and it was melted down together with the signet ring and the main shank
formed. The 18ct wedding ring was melted down and rolled flat to
make an inner lining for the shank. The red gold wedding ring was
melted down and formed into wire to make the twisted wire decoration, and
the 14 diamonds were set centrally equidistant around the shank - hence
five items, four of which were otherwise unwearable, were made into a new
ring with considerable sentimental value, having previously belonged to
various relatives of the client
Dear Alan,
Many thanks, ring is excellent
I will recommend you to friends etc, some of my family will probably send
things to you when they see my ring. Cheque on its way today/tomorrow
depending on time, as I am deep in study now.
Hope you don't mind I have
given my sister in law your e-mail details to contact you for a ring job
she wants doing.
Keep in touch, thanks again |
